US-based Microsoft partner, Valorem, commences operation in SmartCity Kochi
The US-based Microsoft partner, Valorem, a digital and cloud Solutions Company, has commenced its operation in SmartCity Kochi. The state-of-the-art centre in SmartCity Kochi the company’s first and only facility in India, was inaugurated by M. Sivasankar IAS, Secretary, Information Technology.
Speaking on the occasion, Sivasankar, said that the success of companies depends on how they organize good human resources. “Kerala is a place where people put 100 per cent effort even if they win or lose. I hope that Valorem will exploit it,” he said, adding that SmartCity has been witnessing fast progress following the recent management restructuring.
“International companies have now started considering Kerala, and particularly Kochi as their first destination for their major expansion in India. This is mainly due to the availability of superior infrastructure facilities and more importantly due to availability of highly skilled and committed resources. It is encouraging to see Valorem establish their first center in India in SmartCity” said, Manoj Nair, CEO, SmartCity Kochi.
Valorem’s facility, which spreads over an area of 28000 sq. ft. in the first IT building of SmartCity, can accommodate 280 employees at a time. “We decided to move into SmartCity, which offers world-class facilities, as part of the expansion plans and to meet growing market demand. The new location also adds Valorem to the SmartCity global network alongside many Fortune 500s,” said Kurian George, VP, Operations, India.
In the interest of providing fast, scalable and around-the-clock, cloud technology solutions for clients, Valorem has an aggressive growth plan over the next 3 years to fill their SmartCity workplace with the best and brightest talent in the area, Kurian George added.

Headquartered in Kansas, USA, Valorem made its India foray in May 2016 by acquiring US-based leading interactive experience firm, IdentityMine and its India subsidiary. Under Valorem leadership, the India team has quickly doubled in size over the last two months’ with digital engineering, development and design specialists.
